Below you can see part of what goes into every Blacklock Deck. From the initial sawing of lumber right through to some of the unique processes that make our deks unforgetable. Blacklock longboards are hand crafted from solid wood. Decks are built from Walnut, Cherry, Oak (Black/White/Red). Locust, Beech, Maple, Hickory, Elm, Ash and Sumac in various combinations. Wood has been harvested from our own property or sourced locally. Like the rest of the world, we're trying our best to go green. We use water based finishes and burn off-cuts to heat the wood shop. Not to mention the fact that we continue to plant upwards of 100, 000 trees a year.

With the natural variations in the woods used, such as sap wood or mineralization, no two boards are alike. You can be sure your deck is one of a kind with 7 patterns and 5 shapes to choose from. Plus, you have the option of adding a tail, or having your board custom stamped with your name. All of our decks are numbered and individually silk-screened with a unique colour combination. With all of these variations, your deck will surely be unique.
